Report of Khatu Shyam Ji Mela 2011

Department of Management of Sobhasaria Group of Institutions, Sikar was invited by Government of Rajasthan to render services for smooth functioning of internationally famous Khatu Shyam Ji Mela to be held from 12th March, 2011 to 17th March, 2011.

Team consisting of Senior Faculty Members was formed by Director – Prof. Wg. Cdr. S.P. Kaushik to visit the site of the mela on 27th Feb., 2011 and make suggestions. Brainstorming session after the site visit led to following suggestions to Shri Prakash Choudhary, OSD (Officer on Special Duty) – Mela.

1. Installation of Aerostat balloon to cover entire Khatu and keep eagle eye on crowd. Click Here for More

2. Installation of LCD showing darshan of Baba Khatu Shyam ji to devotees who would be attending in long que.

3. Sensitizing area 3 days before Mela and send all private vehicles to Free Parking Area to be managed by team of students from engineering and management colleges.

4. Convert some roads to only one way traffic.

Managing Committee of Khatu Shyam ji Mela and District Adminstration acted on these suggestions resulting in huge success of Mela which ended on 17th March, 2011. Almost 15 lacs devotees visited the temple during this period.

Talk on Accreditation

Prof. K.C.Mhajan, former Principal of Arya Institute of Engineering, Kukas, Jaipur delivered a talk to all faculty member of Sobhasaria Engineering College on 15, March, 2011. He appraised all on the importance of the forthcoming accreditation of the institute and the necessary activities towards successfully getting the same.

11th March, 2011: Mock Parliament - Budget Session 2011 organized in Departmet of Business Studies

Institute of Management in Sobhasaria Group of Institutions organized Mock Parliament session on 11th March, 2011 to sensitize students of management (both MBA & PGDM) regarding various provisions of financial budget. Lively discussions were organized. Students of MBA-1st year and PGDM acted as oppositions party while students of MBA –IInd year acted as ruling party. Mr. Dipesh Parashar presented the budget as Finance Minister while Ms. Pooja of MBA -1st year presided over proceeding as speaker of Parliament. Students as members asked various questions which was answered by council of minister.

HP India Campus Drive for Engineers 2010

The Team from HP India visited the Collge campus for on spot recruitment. The selection Process was conducted on 17th-18th September 2010 by the Technical Experts & HR Managers from HP India. HP India selected 22 students on the post of Technical Support Engineers.The recruitement team applouded the environment is the college and overall development of the students.
