The college has very strong links with the industry (having being promoted by a renowned industrial house) and continues to receive generous support from various organizations.
SEC provides opportunities for interaction between students and representatives of the Industry to facilitate placement in suitable jobs. The Training & Placement Officer maintains liaison with industries for summer placement as well as final placement of students passing out from the college. SEC also acts as a platform to have dialogue between representatives of Govt. organizations, financial institutions, entrepreneurs & students. A fairly large number of (details at annexure - A) students of 1st batch (2002-03) & 2nd batch (2003-04) of this college have been placed in various industrial/ service sectors. A partial list is enumerated below where our alumni are working. Training & Placement cell also arranges guest lectures, workshops and seminars on career opportunities, entrepreneurship & personality development etc. Some of the academically oriented students have joined IIT's and other institutes of higher learning. |

Placement Process |
| |
The companies are requested to mail their requirement for placement to Asstt. Prof. (Training & Placement).
The resume of students interested in the organization will be collected and forwarded, if so desired.
The placement schedule will be worked out with mutual consent.
The companies are advised to give pre placement talk (PPT) before the selection process at the campus.
The final job offers should be routed through Asstt. Prof. (Trg. & Placement). |

| Summer Placements |
| |
The students of II/III (CSE, IT, ECE, EE & BT) have embarked upon their summer placements (04) in almost all corners of India. From Cochin in the south to Tejpur in Arunachal Pradesh in the eastern part of India. SEC continuous to attract the top corporate houses like TCS, Reliance Infocom, Siemens, Satyam Computers, Shriram Fert. & Chem., HCL Infosystems, TISCO, Hindalco Industries, HZL, MICO, HFCL, Videocon International etc. to name a few of them in the private sector. Similarly public sector giants like HMT, BHEL, GAIL, Indian Railways, MTNL, BSNL, NTPC, RRVPNL, SAIL, RAPS, DRDO, ISRO have absorbed our students.
This year, the inaugural batch of Bio – Tech. Students have gone for their Practical Trg., 2004. Organization like Biocon, Bangalore, Arid Forest Research Institute, Jodhpur, National Research Centre on Camel, Bikaner, Cadila, Ahmedabad, PGIMER, Chandigarh etc. have allowed our students for their summer placements. |
