Sobhasaria Engineering College (SEC) was established in 1999 at Sikar, Rajasthan to impart "
education with a difference" in various disciplines of engineering and meet the ever increasing need for competent technical personnel in our country. SEC is in its 9th year of operations, having shaped the future of more than 500 students who are currently associated with leading organizations in different parts of India. The transitions of these students have been gradual from basic engineering to the high profile Information Technology area. Some have joined institutes of repute to further their academic pursuits. |

The college is promoted by "Sobhasaria Jankalyan Trust", a non-profit charitable institution
established for the cause and advancement of education in India. With a sprawling campus
spreading over 30 acres of expanse, the harmonious environs provide the perfect setting for an unforgettable learning-teaching experience. The fully developed campus is supplemented by
facilities for outdoor sports, gymnasium and indoor games. Students are regularly encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities which are wide and varied in nature. As a Premier Technical Institute and Centre of Excellence, the college offers B.Tech courses in : Electrical Engineering,
Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering & Bio-Technology. For the management aspirants, we offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in I.T., H.R., Finance, Marketting, Production and Small Business Management. Recently, college has started M.Tech. courses with specialization in Computer Science & Engineering and Digital Communications. |

| The college has excellent residential facilities for both boys and girls. Artistically designed, well equipped and properly maintained hostels provide a homely atmosphere which helps the students to groom themselves in a holistic manner. Additionally, the spacious in-campus faculty and staff quarters provides accommodation for the teaching fraternity who take care of the student needs on an ongoing basis. The college has been promoted by the Sobhasaria Jankalyan Trust which was founded nearly a decade ago with a view to establish and run educational institutions, under the leadership of Shri Baijnathji Sobhasaria as Chairman of the Trust. The other Trustees are his three sons, Shri P. R. Agarwala, Shri G. P. Agarwala and Shri K. B. Agarwala who are associated with Rupa & Co. Ltd., Kolkata, the largest hosiery products manufacturer in India. The College which started in the year 1999 has now entered its eights year of operations.
The stated objective of the Sobhasaria Jankalyan Trust has been to develop a nucleus campus that would impart quality education in various disciplines of engineering while meeting the increasing needs and demands of future. The thrust is on technical excellence with professionalism. The students are expected to receive necessary inputs for their overall personality development as professionals and ideal human beings through shop floor training, in-plant exposure, tours to successful industrial enterprises, guest lectures, debates, seminars, in-house quizzes, mock-interviews and other co-curricular activities. Special focus is given to all the students to improve their English to global communicable standards. |
